DENNIS Williams put in a magnificent performance in the Alnwick Premier Darts League, scoring an amazing 11-dart leg to win his singles match and help steer his table-topping Alnmouth Village side to victory.
Williams’ tremendous personal performance saw him land 140, 140, 180, 41 finish (9 double 16) before hitting a 140 finish later in the game, as the Village beat Farriers A 6-1 in the Division A clash.
Alan Rumney was the lone points-scorer for the Shilbottle men.
The Fleece’s recent good form came to an abrupt end when they went down 6-1 at home to the Oddies B.
Jeff Pritchard enjoyed a 107 finish for the Oddies while the ever-consistent Rob Wilson scored the point for the Fleece.
Julian Gibbs scored a maximum for the John Bull but couldn’t prevent the George A whitewashing his side 7-0. In the final Division A match of the night, Alnwick Gate B won 6-1 away at Oddies A, although Dick Carter of the Oddies scored a 180.
In Division B, league leaders Bell Bar B marched on with a 7-0 triumph against the George B.
M Oliver scored a 180 for Alnwick Working Men’s Club A but it wasn’t enough to stop the Blue Bell A winning 6-1 for them to stay within touching distance of their bar rivals at the top.
Meanwhile, Alnwick Working Men’s Club B beat Farriers B 6-1.
The clash between RAFA and Tanners Arms A was cancelled but is to be re-arranged.
