These are the winning family-friendly holiday destinations in the UK
Keswick, Bournmouth and Edinburgh have won the vote for the most popular family-friendly holiday destinations in the United Kingdom.
More than 3,000 people cast votes in an online poll in which 18 destinations competed for honours in rural, seaside and urban categories.

Hide AdHoliday rentals experts HomeAway launched the Family Friendly Destinations 2020 competition after discovering that two-thirds of British holidaymakers plan a staycation.
Rural winner
Keswick (pictured, top) in the Lake District was the runaway winner in the rural category, with 47% of votes. Tenby in Wales (17%) and Bakewell in the Peak District (15%) took second and third place.
Seaside winner
Bournemouth's clean beaches helped the town win 30% of the votes as Family Friendly seaside Destination 2020. Sennen Cove in Cornwall attracted 27% of the votes, followed by Torquay in Devon with 18%.
Urban winner
Scotland’s lively capital Edinburgh secured top spot in the urban category with 30% of all votes. York was a close second with 26% of all votes followed by London (25%).
