Asda recalls sausages amid allergy risk fears

A range of sausages sold in Asda have been pulled from the shelves due to a potential health risk to allergy sufferers.The Country Style Pork Sausages and Sage & Caramelised Red Onion Pork Sausages are being recalled by manufacturer C&K Meats because they contain undeclared sulphur dioxide which is not mentioned on the label.This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.The products, sold in Asda stores only, come in 400g packs, and the affected products have ‘Use By’ dates up to and including 23 March 2018.

Anyone having bought either of the above products and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites is advised not eat them; instead returning them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.
