Unfair balance

The Scotland devolution vote next year is a timely reminder of a democracy issue this side of the border.

We must not forget that my MP cannot influence, for example, the provision of care for the elderly in Scotland nor the cost of university courses in Scotland, but that Scottish MPs still have a vote in Westminster on these issues in England. It was called ‘The West Lothian question’ but it still exists today.
