Thanks and a date for diary

The Alnwick Stroke Club enters it’s 35th year of meeting once at week at St Paul’s Sheltered Housing in Prudhoe Street, Alnwick.

Thanks to the generosity of the Alnwick Lions, the RVS and many clubs/organisations and individuals, the costs of transporting our members from their homes has again been covered.

Thanks also goes to the residents of the sheltered housing, the drivers and our nine volunteers at the club.

The Stroke Club has vacancies for members and anyone who knows of someone living in north Northumberland, who would benefit by joining us on Tuesdays for four hours, should contact a care manager or myself.

On Saturday, April 26, a coffee morning in the Northumberland Hall, Alnwick, run by the ladies of Alnwick Inner Wheel, will have the usual stalls and a lovely cup of coffee for £1.

Also in attendance will be Donna, from the Stroke Association, who will take blood pressure tests and will be free to chat about any concerns you may have relating to stroke.
