While on holiday at Bamburgh on Monday, August 19, my wife fell seriously ill.
Within 20 minutes of my 999 call, a paramedic arrived followed by an ambulance.
I would like to take the opportunity through your letters page to express my sincere thanks to paramedics Philip and Martin and ambulance driver Roger for their prompt and efficient care of my wife.
Many thanks also to the staff at Wansbeck General Hospital for their care.
We have spent many happy holidays in your beautiful county over the past 25 years and hope to enjoy many more in the years to come.
