There is a well-used footpath between Beadnell and Seahouses meant for the use of pedestrians, cyclists, pushchairs, invalid vehicles, etc.
However, some thoughtless motorists use it for their convenience and park right across the path, restricting the passage of legitimate users.
The police know of the problem, but have more to do than patrol that road. The county council could assist by placing some form of barrier, especially at entrances to the dunes.
There is ample parking on the verges at the opposite side of the road, but perhaps that’s too far to walk to the dunes.
I appeal to motorists to respect the laws in regard to parking and to the public, for whose use the footpath was designed.
