Many thanks

TEAMDINGA, of the Alnwick Premier Darts League, would like to thank everyone who attended our charity music day on Sunday, helping us raise an amazing £1,288.

I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.

The generosity of people never ceases to amaze us and I can’t express how much this means to the team and the charities we are supporting.

Music on the day included fantastic sets from Insignificant Other and the ShowaddyDaddys who went down a storm and the disco and karaoke from Rob Mallaburn made the day a real success.

The raffle held as part of the event received some great prize donations from many local people and businesses whose support is very much appreciated and certainly the day would not have risen nearly as much without their generosity.

A special thank you has to go to Kevin and Sue Fletcher for hosting the event at The Alnwick Gate.

Their support and generosity in providing such a fantastic venue and supporting the team right from that start has been amazing.

The team is setting its sights on a five-day 500km cycle ride in July and each member will be riding for a charity special to them – Help for Heroes, British Heart Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, Meningitis UK, Prostate Cancer and the Pink Ribbon Foundation,

All funds raised, including those from the charity music day, will be split between these charities.

ON behalf of the Alnwick branch of Save the Children I should like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to our lunch in the Costello Centre on Maundy Thursday.

The excellent sum of £590.65 was raised, and this will be used to give life-saving injections and special care to some of the world’s most vulnerable babies and young children.
