Many thanks

ON behalf of the Amble Christmas Lights Committee, I would like to thank the community for all their support.

A sincere thank-you to Julia Aston at Amble Development Trust for organising all the entertainment and the procession, Sara Jenson-Boon for working so hard with the children and their families, giving us a fantastic display of lanterns, Amble and Warkworth Rotary for all their help on the night and to Pauline Jackson, Fiona Wilce, Lesley Bilboe and Pier 81, raising £285 on the night.

Thank you all for your generosity.

A grateful thank-you to Amble Town Council, Pier 81 and Quayside Chippy, who are main sponsors.

To all the community groups, businesses and individuals for all their financial support and to Amble Development Trust for providing us with a workshop and storage. Without you, there would be no lights.

Last, but not least, to ‘our lads’ who work all year repairing and renewing displays.

A special thank-you to Peter Stewart of Amble Skips and Geoff Singer for providing transport free of charge. Thank-you for a magnificent display.

In April, we hold our AGM and would welcome anyone interested to attend.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Florence Angus,
