LIFEBOAT: Thank you all for support

I would like, on behalf of all the crew and committee at Craster Lifeboat Station, to thank everyone who supported our Harbour Fete on Saturday, August 1.

The weather was once again kind to us, which showed by the number of people who came to support us.

We raised over £5,800 on the day for the RNLI, and that amount has now gone up to £6,800 with donations coming in in the days afterwards.

A big thank you to everyone who gave up their time to work so tirelessly selling tea and coffee, sandwiches and cakes, the ladies and men who ran all the stalls and attractions, the motorbikers who showed off their bikes and took rides, the Farne Island Divers for stepping in at short notice to run boat trips for us, and to everyone else who supported and donated to the event.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank Roger and Gill Smith for opening the fete. Roger and Gill, here on holiday, are the benefactors of the lifeboat that is currently stationed at Craster.

Kev Brown,

LOM Craster Lifeboat Station.
