I have just come back from a walk around Amble pier and have counted 14 pieces of dog dirt.
Why can’t the selfish, ignorant, imbecilic dog owners pick it up? It is the ‘dark morning, dark evenings’ syndrome: I can’t see, so it wasn’t my dog who fouled the pier.
I think it is time that all dogs should be kept on leads. At least then the owner cannot have the excuse of not knowing what the dog has done.
When you think that there is a £2.5million project going on not 400 yards away to attract visitors to Amble but unfortunately they will have to wade through dogs mess to get to it.
