Eye-catching photographs captured by youngsters and showcasing the beauty of Alnmouth feature in a new calendar, following a well-supported competition.

The contest was organised by the Alnmouth Burgage Holders and the village post office for four age groups, aged six and under to 16.

It attracted more than 400 photographs from 40 entrants. The subject matter was Alnmouth Common.

At least one image from every entrant stars in the Alnmouth 2018 calendar, designed by Nick Mattlock.

Copies are available at the Alnmouth Post Office for £7.50 (or £5 for the entrants). They can also be ordered by calling 01665 830356.

Half the profits are being donated to the Burgage Holders to be used to sponsor children’s activities in the village.
