World Championship medal winner to start Tae Kwon Do club at Ashington Leisure Centre

A Tae Kwon Do world championship medal winner is to start a club at Ashington Leisure Centre next month.

Phillippa Life has been training for 28 years, having started at the age of eight, and she has competed regularly from the age of 15, reaching world champion level.

At last year’s World Championships she picked up three bronze medals in sparring competitions.

Phillippa, a teacher at Morpeth’s KEVI High School, begins her classes on Saturday, February 25, from 11am to noon, with a Tae Kwon-Do Tigers class for students starting at four years. There will also be lessons for the whole family on Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 7.30pm.
