Wooler gets into the Christmas spirit with festive event

Wooler is gearing up for Christmas on Sunday, December 1, with an afternoon of free entertainment leading up to Santa’s arrival by sleigh.

There will be a chance to stock up on Christmas presents and soak up some festive cheer at the Christmas Farmers’ Market in the bus station from 11am to 3pm.

Shoppers will be entertained by carol singing at 11.30am and there will be story-telling for children in the fairy grotto.

There will also be a performance of the Twelve Days of Christmas that is guaranteed to bring a bit of festive fun to the day. Mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate will all be available.

Families are invited to a free family film at the Cheviot Centre at 2.30pm and the Market Place Christmas tree lights will be switched on just before Santa’s arrival at 5pm.If the weather is bad Santa will chat to children in the Glendale Hall.
