A WOMAN escaped with minor injuries after her car came off the road and ended up in a field.
Police, fire and ambuland crews were called to the scene on the B6341 near Edlingham on Monday at around 9.15am after a blue Toyota Avensis left the road and ended up on the other side in a field, behind a barbed wire fence.
Two fire crews from Alnwick cut the woman free before she was taken to Wansbeck District Hospital with minor injuries.
Two police motor patrol cars were also at the scene, with a community paramedic.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the driver was released from hospital later the same day.
