Julie Margaret Scott, 79, was from the Rothbury area.
Emergency services were called out at 8.30am on Wednesday, January 13, after police were told that a body had been seen in the river near Whitton Bank Road.
There is no suspected third-party involvement and reports are being prepared for the coroner.
