At 7.17pm, Humber Coastguard tasked the Berwick RNLI all-weather lifeboat to transport two North East Ambulance Service paramedics to the island.

Holy Island Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) officers provided medical assistance to the woman and set-up a landing site for a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter, which arrived at the same time as the lifeboat.
