OYEZ! Oyez! Alnwick's Bellman has been crowned the winner of a town crier competition.
John Stevens scooped the championship gong to set the standard at the first Whitehaven Town Crier Competition.
And he continued his winning ways by taking the "Best Ambassador" accolade.
John, 62, was awarded a brass Davy lamp and a picture of Whitehaven Harbour for his double-winning exploits.
His witty ditty's about Alnwick and the closure of Haig Pit helped John become the champion.
But it was the Best Ambassador award which had him shouting with delight.
He said: "It is the third time that I have won Best Ambassador award since 2003 and I have always considered it to be the most important one because it promotes the town you are from. Winning this proves that I am doing my job."
John took the honours from 14 other town criers and escorts.
His latest win comes in the wake of his competition triumph at the Dunfermline Town Crying Tournament last month where he was crowned event champion and winner of the Best Content of Cry.
