Founded in 1918 by Anne Scholefield, of Lint Close, which is now the Friary, it is still an active group of more than 70 women and continues to play an integral part in the life of the village.

To mark the anniversary, an oak tree, donated by Northumberland Estates, has been planted overlooking the golf course.
