Westfield Park holds event for volunteers

A special event is being held tomorrow for anyone wanting to volunteer at Longhoughton's Westfield Park.

The session will give people the chance to meet the trustees and have a chat about helping out.

Volunteering roles include opening and closing the building, helping to mark the lines on the football field during the playing season, attracting sponsorship and applying for grants and carrying out a monthly safety check of the equipment in the Play Garden.

Tomorrow’s event will take place at Westfield Park from 7pm to 8.30pm, with a glass of wine and some nibbles.
