Well you might have to choose your moments carefully on Saturday, June 27, if you live in Northumberland.

After a dry if slightly wet morning, experts at the Met Office fear that the county will be hit by thunder and lightning this afternoon between around 3pm and 5pm.

Rainfall is expected to disappear, however, as the evening continues with 9pm possibly the best time to enjoy a deserved drink outdoors in the garden.
