This is what the weather will be like in Northumberland over the August bank holiday weekend

We’re certainly used to not seeing much sunshine over a British bank holiday – and this year’s August long weekend is no exception.

Friday, 28th August 2020, 11:33 am

Met Office forecasters are predicting an unremarkable three days of weather for Northumberland, with the bank holiday off to a wet start today (Friday, August 28) with a deluge of rain.

We can expect some showers up until around 2pm on Friday, changing mostly to cloud throughout the rest of the weekend all the way through until Tuesday, September 1.

The weekend’s temperatures will be mild – with highs between 14°C and 16°C – but definitely not the glorious sunshine we’d hoped for.
