Met Office forecasters are predicting an unremarkable three days of weather for Northumberland, with the bank holiday off to a wet start today (Friday, August 28) with a deluge of rain.
We can expect some showers up until around 2pm on Friday, changing mostly to cloud throughout the rest of the weekend all the way through until Tuesday, September 1.
The weekend’s temperatures will be mild – with highs between 14°C and 16°C – but definitely not the glorious sunshine we’d hoped for.
Sunday, August 30 is your best chance of catching some rays across the county, with sunny spells forecast later in the afternoon through to 7pm in the evening.
A Met Office spokesman added: “Mainly fine through Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with sunny spells by day, but some cold nights.”
