What will the weather be like across Northumberland this morning?

As you open the sixth day of your advent calendar, we will see an overcast start to the day with dark cloud to arrive from as early as 4am. The temperature will reach 11C by 7am when there will be a 20% chance of rain until 8am when this will change to 50%.

What about this afternoon?

This afternoon will see showers reaching a 70% chance of rain as more cloud is also set to pass over by 12pm. Met Office forecasters say the temperature will remain at 10C throughout the rainfall.

What will the weather be like this evening and tonight across Northumberland?

Early evening will see a mix of light and heavy showers continue throughout the evening until around 3pm when there will be some sun, turning cloudier later but remaining dry throughout the remainder of the night. The rain will be at its heaviest in hilly and coastal areas. Expect an overnight temperature of 7C.

Saturday, December 7 is predicted to be cloudy with less rain forecast. A maximum temperature of 9C is expected.

The Met Office UK outlook for Saturday, December 7 to Monday, December 9 said: “Bright start Saturday, some rain later. Windy with rain overnight, then scattered heavy, blustery showers Sunday, maybe hill snow. Cold Monday with strong winds and possibly wintry showers, easing later.”
