What will the weather be like across Northumberland this morning?

On the morning of Thursday, December 12, we will wake up to cloudy skies and a very cold start from 5am – as cold as 1C. Some sun will attempt to make it through the cloud from 10am, before the rain arrives. The temperature will reach only 3C by 10am.

This afternoon, the sun will start to disappear from 12pm as more sun attempts to break through. Met Office forecasters say the temperature will remain at around 3C throughout.

What will the weather be like this evening and tonight across Northumberland?

Early evening will see skies become cloudier. We will see more light showers reaching a 60% chance of rain as cloud is set to pass over by 5pm with the rain continuing until around 12pm. The rain will be at its heaviest in hilly and coastal areas. Expect an overnight temperature of 4C.

What will the weather be like tomorrow?

Friday, December 13 is predicted to be cloudy with less rain forecast. A maximum temperature of 5C is expected.

The Met Office UK outlook for Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15 said: “Remaining unsettled and often windy with spells of rain and showers through the period, wintry over hills. Gales likely in places on Saturday and Sunday. Rather cold throughout.”
