The heavy rain will begin to ease in early afternoon but it will remain wet and drizzly until around 4pm when the rain will stop altogether. High temperature is 5C but it won’t feel warmed than 1C.

Heavy rain is forecast on Saturday, February 15 and there is a yellow weather warning for wind in place over the weekend.

Storm Dennis is expected to hit the region on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Storm Dennis will bring very strong winds over the weekend. Disruption to travel is likely across parts of England and Wales at times.”

The weather warning will be in place between 10am on Saturday, February 15, to midnight on Sunday, February 16.
