Rain is expected to fall from around 1pm, becoming heavier as the afternoon progresses. Temperatures will be around 3C, but gusts of wind of up to 32mph will make it feel more like -3C at times.

Better than the afternoon. The rain will die off at around 7pm, then it will be cloudy but dry for the rest of the day. The temperature could reach as high as 6C towards midnight and the wind will drop.

The Met Office UK outlook for Tuesday, March 3 to Thursday, March 12 said: “Next week looks to stay unsettled with further spells of strong winds and rain, interspersed by sunnier, showery interludes.

“Snow is likely in the north, mainly over higher ground, though there is a chance of seeing snow to lower levels at times.”
