How long will the sunny weather last? North East weather forecast for the week ahead

According to the Met Office, conditions will stay fairly similar this week with temperatures set to reach highs of 13C and lows of 7C across most parts of the region.

Tuesday is set to be another sunny day with a moderate breeze present in most areas.

It’s predicted we’ll see less sunshine as the week progresses, yet temperatures are expected to rise as high as 16C on Friday.

Saturday is likely to be mostly cloudy, though, with similar conditions forecast for next week.

When it comes to the long-range weather forecast between Saturday April 25 and Monday May 4, the Met Office says: “It is expected to be largely fine and dry with plenty of sunshine to start this period, with any risk of showery conditions confined to the south of England.

“Temperatures are expected to be rather warm for most, but perhaps cool along eastern coastlines.

“As we move further into Spring, temperatures will tend towards average for the time of year, with any overnight frosts isolated to sheltered northern regions.

“The largely sunny, settled conditions with light winds are expected to continue until the end of April, when showery, unsettled conditions may become more widespread and extend further North.”

No rain is predicted in the North East until Saturday May 2 when we could be set for light showers.
