Hot week ahead for Northumberland as temperatures soar to 21°C

It looks set to be a week of sunshine and warm weather for Northumberland as temperatures reach highs of 21°C.

Following on from last week’s cloudier and colder conditions, those enjoying outdoor exercise during lockdown will be pleased to hear that the good weather is returning.

What will the weather be like on Tuesday, May 19?

The week’s warm weather will begin on Tuesday, with highs of 17°C.

After a rainy start, it will become cloudy for most of the day but will be warm with highs of 16°C and 17°C from 1pm.

The early evening will see sunny spells from around 7pm with temperatures remaining at 17°C.

Overnight will be clear and mild with highs of 15°C.

What will the weather be like on Wednesday, May 20?

Wednesday looks set to be the best day of the week with highs of 21°C.

The morning will be a mix of sunshine and clouds, with temperatures climbing to 19°C with plenty of sunshine by 1pm.

The late afternoon and early evening looks set to remain warm and sunny with highs of 20°C from 4pm.

Overnight it will be cloudy with temperatures dropping to 12°C.

What will the weather be like on Thursday, May 21?

Another warm day on Thursday, with highs of 17°C and 18°C.

However most of the day looks set to remain cloudy, but with sunny spells in the evening.

It will tun cloudy once again overnight and become cooler than earlier in the week with temperatures dipping to 11°C.

What will the weather be like on Friday, May 22 and over the weekend?

After a cloudy start, the sun will shine once again on Friday, with sunny intervals by lunchtime.

Temperatures will peak at around 1pm with highs of 17°C, making it another warm day.

It will be sunny in the late afternoon and it will be a clear night with temperatures dipping to 12°C.

Saturday and Sunday’s weather looks similar with sunny intervals changing to cloudy by the afternoon and highs of 17°C.

Early evening will see the return of sunny spells, before it becomes a clear night with temperatures of 12°C.
