Cooler temperatures and rain – This is your Northumberland weather forecast for the week ahead

Cool temperatures, rain and some sunny spells are what Met Office forecasters are predicting for the county over the next week.

It is looking to be a cold and wet start before becoming fairer heading into next weekend.

Here is your weather forecast for the week ahead, according to the Met Office:

Monday, October 12

It is set to be a cold and rainy start to the week with heavy rain showers predicted for throughout the afternoon.

Forecasts are expecting the rain to ease off slightly as we head into the evening but showers will remain.

Highs of no more than 10°C expected.

Tuesday, October 13

The rain is forecast to continue into Tuesday morning and throughout the day.

Some sunny spells could make their way through the cloud as we head into the evening with highs of 11°C.

Wednesday, October 14

Met Office forecasters are expecting an overcast day with some sunny spells.

There could be a few rain showers throughout the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will reach highs of 12°C.

Thursday, October 15

It should be a drier day with no rain forecast and sunny spells. It will still feel cool with highs of 11°C.

Friday, October 16

An overcast day on Friday however no rain is expected. Highs of 11°C.

Saturday, October 17

More of the same predicted as we head into the weekend. Overcast with highs of around 11°C.
