Here is a guide to some of the commemorations taking place throughout north Northumberland (on Sunday, November 13, unless stated).

ACKLINGTON

Remembrance Service in the Parish Church of St John The Divine, 10.45am. Followed by service at Guyzance Tragedy Memorial, Riverside, at 12.30pm.

ALNHAM

Commemoration at St Michael’s, with the Choir of the Kings Priory School, Tynemouth, 10.30am.

Alnmouth

Remembrance Service in St John the Baptist Church at 9.30am, followed by coffee, before going to the war memorial for Act of Remembrance, starting at 11am.

Alnwick

Remembrance Service at St Paul’s Church at 2.30pm, followed by parade to the war memorial where wreaths will be laid.

ALWINTON

Commemoration at St Michael’s, 10.15am.

Tomorrow: Rev Velda Nicholson will lead a short service at the war memorial, Town Square, at 11am.

Sunday: Wreath-laying ceremony in the Town Square just before 11am, followed by parade to Trinity Methodist Church for Remembrance Service.

BELFORD

Tomorrow: War Memorial, 10.55am. Belford schools will attend for a two minutes’ silence, followed by a Service of Remembrance at St Mary’s.

Sunday: Act of Remembrance at the war memorial at 10.45am, in the presence of The Duchess of Northumberland. Following the laying of wreaths by Her Grace, the service and civil organisations, personal tributes may be laid. Wooden poppy crosses will be available at various village outlets for the Field of Remembrance.

Chevington

Tomorrow: War Memorial Service at Chevington Cemetery. Service is at 11am. Local schoolchildren will lay small memorials on the graves of five local men who died in the First World War. With Last Post and Reveille. Red Row Brick Club to serve refreshments afterwards.

Sunday: Remembrance Service at St John the Divine, at 10.15am, followed by procession to the war memorial for wreath laying. Gather at war memorial for 10.55am

FELTON

Remembrance Service at the Church of St Michael and All Angels at 10am, followed by procession to the war memorial at 10.30am approx, for laying of wreaths at 10.45am.

Holy Island

Service in St Mary’s at 10.45am followed by laying of wreaths at the war memorial on the Heugh.

ROTHBURY

Tomorrow: Act of Remembrance at 11am at war memorial.

Sunday: Requiem Eucharist for the Fallen at All Saints’ Church, at 10.15am. The church will also host an ecumenical commemoration at 2.30pm, followed by wreath-laying at the war memorial. If it is raining hard at 2.20pm, the wreaths will be laid inside the church.

SEAHOUSES

Tomorrow: Short service at the war memorial at 11am.

Sunday: Service at the war memorial at 2.15pm.

WARKWORTH

Remembrance Service at St Lawrence Church, 9am, followed by ceremony and Last Post at war memorial with wreath laying at approx 10.15am.

WOOLER

Church service at St Mary’s at 2.30pm, followed by wreath-laying at the war memorial.
