An aspiring videographer has produced a fly-by feature of The Alnwick Garden at Christmas as a part of the charity’s new Enterprise Programme.
The video, filmed using a remote controlled drone, provides a bird’s eye view of the illuminated garden at night, as well as trip around the garden’s market and a visit to Santa’s grotto.
Chris Davidson produced the video during the Enterprise Programme, which aims to reduce unemployment among young people and assist their development of new skills by nurturing aspirations and providing them with practical work experience.
The film will now be used as a part of The Garden’s Christmas social media campaign to promote this month’s events.
Chris said: “I was delighted to be asked to help with this production and hope it can help to raise the profile of the garden’s excellent work with the local community.”
A recent graduate of The Northern Film School with a degree in film and moving image production, this is the first professional use of Chris’ work and he hopes to establish himself as a leading videographer for the region, specialising in drone footage.
Natasha Addis, head of charity programmes at The Alnwick Garden Trust, said: “Chris’ video is a striking example of some of the activities taking place as a part of our Enterprise Programme. It is paramount to us that young people are provided with practical opportunities to learn key skills within a working environment to prepare them for future employment.”
