Amble turned out in force this evening to welcome the start of the festive season as the town’s Christmas lights were switched on.
Hundreds of people lined Queen Street for the annual parade from the Wellwood Arms to the Town Square.
There was a sackful of floats, including Stormy Sam and the RNLI, and great displays from the Tavern and their coach. the Dock Express, belly dancers and the community skiff to name a few.
Fairground rides and other attractions entertained youngsters once they had arrived in the square.
