WATCH: Classic vehicles drive through Northumberland for Flying Scotsman Vintage Car Rally

More than 100 classic cars, many from the 1920s and ’30s, are taking part in the three-day, 700-mile road trip, which started yesterday.

They began at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, and headed for an overnight stop in south Northumberland, via the Humber Bridge, the East Riding of Yorkshire and Castle Howard.

Today, they have been following Hadrian’s Wall and picked up the Northumberland coast road up to Horncliffe, in north Northumberland, where they have been crossing the River Tweed over the Union Chain Bridge to Fishwick, Berwickshire, Scotland, before a pit stop at Paxton House in the Borders. Tomorrow, they complete their journey at the Gleneagles Hotel.
