An amazing display of the Northern Lights was seen last night from Holy Island.
A rainbow of colours was visible in the sky over north Northumberland last night - and our photographer Jane Coltman was there to witness the display.
It wasn’t the easiest of conditions in which to be out with a camera - howling winds and shiver-inducing temperatures meant it wasn’t easy to keep the tripod steady! For those who like to know the technical details Jane used exposures of between 15 and 20 seconds, an ISO of between 1600 and 3200 and they were all at f2.8.
