As the clock struck 11 this morning, school pupils joined other Alnwick residents to mark Armistice Day at the war memorial.
Youngsters from St Michael’s First School took part in the two-minute silence before five of them – Charlie Pattinson, Reese Davison, Spencer Cooke, Jack Smith and Carly Hope – laid a wreath at the recently-refurbished monument.
Another pupil, Luke Saunders, left a small cross in memory of a member of his family. See the attached slideshow.
