WATCH: A winter’s tour in Alnwick Garden

The recent snowfall has created a magical atmosphere in one of the region’s top tourist attractions.

A light covering of snow has resulted in Alnwick Garden looking beautiful as it prepares to open to open to the public on Saturday.

When Gazette photographer Jane Coltman visited with her camera she saw the Mandarin Ducks paddling across a half-frozen pond within the Cherry Orchard to reach their Tai-Haku Duck House.

Also on view were sculptures that are part of the exhibition by David Watkinson, one of the UK’s kinetic artists, that runs until April 1.
