Wat-er way to spend summer holidays

There'll be plenty of messing about on the river as a charity offers a range of water sports.

The Coquet Shorebase Trust will be organising a number of sessions over the next week.

There will be guided paddling tours of the Coquet estuary from the trust’s base at The Braid, Amble, tomorrow (Friday), from 9.30am to 1pm, on Monday, from 1pm to 4.30pm, and on Friday, August 5, from 4pm to 7.30pm, for £25 per person.

On Tuesday there is canoeing and kayaking for eight to 16-year-olds, from 1.30pm to 4pm, with windsurfing on Wednesday, from 10am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 3.30pm, and sailing on Thursday.
