Police in Coquetdale are warning residents to be on their guard after opportunist thefts.
The latest community messaging email states that there have been 12 crimes in Coquetdale between July 1 and August 1.
In Rothbury, metal was stolen from Newtown Engineering’s works yard between July 4 and 10, and lead flashing was removed from the roof of Cragside’s reception between 7pm on July 25 and 8am on July 27.
One person was arrested after Stichin Heaven in Longframlington was burgled between July 20 and 21.
There were also a number of thefts at farms, including diesel being syphoned from a tractor at Harbottle between July 18 and 19.
And a man was arrested after taking a vehicle without his parents consent and crashing it into the river at Clennel Hall.
