The applicant wanted permission for the removal of an occupancy condition on a 2013 permission for six holiday lets on land north of North Farm. The condition restricted occupancy to genuine holidaymakers for individual periods not exceeding four weeks in total and the applicant wanted to remove it.

At last week’s planning meeting, Coun Guy Renner-Thompson said he would like to see a fresh application, but Coun Gordon Castle said that there were no valid planning grounds for refusal.

The scheme was passed on a five-to-four vote.
