Wardens on the watch

PARKING enforcement has now been officially taken over by the county council.

The Department for Transport has completed the Civil Parking Enforcement Order which means that as of Tuesday, the county council has taken over the enforcement of on-street parking from the police.

A team of 26 Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) will be working throughout the county to enforce parking restrictions and ensure that everyone parks correctly.

They will monitor on and off-street parking and will be able to issue a Penalty Charge Notice to any vehicle parked incorrectly.
