A visit to Newcastle Cathedral
The Year 4 Dolphin class at St Michael's CE Primary School in Alnwick was treated to a visit to St Nicholas' Cathedral in Newcastle last week.
The children were welcomed into the mother church with open arms.
They were shown special parts of the building, including the reason for the ‘wonky’ font cover and even got to sit in the bishop’s chair.

Hide AdAfter that, they explored the Christmas atmosphere of Northumberland Street, including being dazzled by the Beatrix Potter-themed Fenwick’s window.
