Visit 16th century farm

A series of farm open days are being held later this month to give people a chance to see how a 16th century farm was run.

Cragend Farm, near Rothbury, will open its doors to the general public from Saturday, February 13, to Sunday, February 21. The 16th century farm was remodelled by Lord Armstrong of Cragside. Visitors will be able to view a ‘H Pooley & Sons Liverpool’ weighbridge in working order with original fittings for farm carts, view the Grade 2-listed silage tower and more. Tickets are £5 per adult under 14s free. Contact www.cragendfarm.co.uk/
