After a highly successful centenary show last year, there is considerable interest, but due to the closure of the village’s middle school this summer, the show was in danger of being without a venue.

But the committee came up with an enterprising solution – this year, the show will go back to its original roots and will be staged in an enormous marquee at Belford Golf Club.

Hiring a marquee is expensive so the committee is giving the whole village a chance to be involved in the show with the sale of Belford Show badges. On sale for a £1, each badge sold represents the sponsorship of a square foot of the marquee. They can be purcahsed from Belford Newsagents and Belford Community Shop.

The show will take place from 1.30pm on Saturday, September 29. For details, visit belfordvillageshow.com
