SUNSHINE brought out the crowds to Rothbury Food and Craft Festival on Monday.

Organisers have described it as the best event yet with more visitors than previous years.

Around 70 stalls were selling food and craft produce while Alnwick XFactor hopeful Lewis Denny sang to the crowds and Wooler’s Steelquake band entertained.

Chairman Heather Foggon said: “It was absolutely brilliant. We would like to thank everyone for coming and the stallholders and helpers on the day.

“We have a very small committee and without people’s help we couldn’t run it.

“Lewis and Steelquake were absolutely fantastic and people stayed to watch them in the rain at the end.

“It went really well.”
