Organised by Johnston Press North East, publishers of the Berwick Advertiser, Northumberland Gazette, Morpeth Herald and News Post Leader, the awards highlight the places and people that make Northumberland a wonderful place in which to live, work and visit.

The Running Fox’s nominee said: “The Fox provides stunningly good handmade food in generous portions, served by friendly, efficient and helpful staff in a relaxed and lively environment. It has provided a new meeting place for village groups, from the WI walking group who meet there on wet days, to groups of young mums, business networkers and craft groups.
