VIDEO - WHITTINGHAM SHOW

There were record entries at this year’s Whittingham Show.

Show chairman Ian Blakey was ‘absolutely delighted’ that there were a record number of patricipants at the event with 1067 entries in the tent - the highest number as far as records go back. The standard of the garden produce was also extremely high. Children’s classes numbered 316 compared to 250 last year and photography was up by 90 to 250. Outside the tent the rain showers didn’t curb the enthusiasm of show-goers and in the sheep section Jimmy Elliot of Branton Eastside took the championship with his Mule.
