Lanterns, parade floats, dancers, Christmas elves, bouncy castles, food stalls and hundreds of happy, smiling people welcomed Santa to Amble on Sunday.
Crowd followed the pageant down Queen Street and poured into the Town Square where there was a feast of fun, including fair-ground rides and seasonal songs from the Harbour Lights Community Choir. A snow machine also entertained young and old alike.
Mayor of Amble, Coun Craig Weir, said: “It was a fantastic evening.
“The parade was superb. The lanterns this year have been the best ever and the parade has been the biggest.
“Long may it continue.”
