The crews filming Transformers 5: The Last Knight moved to the seaside yesterday and they attracted a big audience, as this video by our photographer Jane Coltman shows.

Movie fans were not disappointed as the stars of the latest in the blockbuster series, Mark Wahlberg and Sir Anthony Hopkins, made an appearance.

Sir Anthony posed for pictures at Bamburgh yesterday and Wahlberg stopped for fans in Seahouses this morning.

Fan Gillian Caldwell said: "We were lucky enough to meet Mark Wahlberg in Seahouses this morning! He was kind enough to let us take some photos." And the high-powered, flashy cars were also pictured beneath the castle.

A notice warning of the weekend beach closure had been put up earlier in the week.

It stated: ‘With permission from Bamburgh Castle, a film production company will be filming scenes on the beach on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September. The scenes will involve the use of a camera vehicle moving at speed along the beach and they will also be using low flying helicopter and drones. For safety reasons the beach will be closed to the public on these two days from the rocks at the north-west end of the beach along to a point level with the east end of the castle.'
