Bunches, bobs and braids are on the agenda at a local first school that has opened up a hairdressing salon - even though the stylists are just aged four and five!

It's aim is to develop imagination and language as part of the curriculum and the Early Years pupils at Amble Links First School are certainly enjoying their role play in the salon which is equipped with everything a stylist could need.

Deputy headteacher Louise Lightley showed her confidence by letting the pupils style her hair, much to their delight!
