Victim suffers significant injury during assault

Police are appealing for information after the assault, which happened around 11pm on Saturday, February 11, on Fore Street in Hexham.

An unknown man approached the victim, a 20-year-old man, and without any provocation bit his ear before making off. 

The man suffered a significant injury to his ear and is currently receiving hospital treatment. 

Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for witnesses.
